VICAR'S MESSAGE - NOVEMBER 2011 |
|||||||||||||||||
|
My beloved parish members, Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “But God said unto him, You fool, this night thy soul shall be
required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
So is he that lyeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God”(Luke
12:20-21) Jesus tells about the foolishness of valuing things more than life.
Poor stewardship is overpriced. compromise with the suitable situations. God’s physical
blessings and gifts are unintelligible, and his spiritual blessings, causes the
finite mind to marvel. We are expecting more and more prosperity from God. Our
prayers are mostly for getting more material benefits. Your concern is God as a
provider. So every time we are trying to pray to God and seek the benefits. Prayer is first of
all an approach to God and not the presentation of a celestial shopping list.
We come first to give rather than to take; offer rather than request. To pray
with praise and thanksgiving is to acknowledge God’s holiness and majesty. With Love and Prayer Yours in His Service, Rev. Benchamen George
