VICAR - REV. BENJAMIN GEORGE

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

The son of Mr. M. George (Rtd. Teacher) and Mrs. Chinnamma George, Rev. Benjamin George was born on September 23rd, 1968.

Our achen was ordained as a Deacon on September 17, 1999 and later as a Kassisa (priest) on October 06, 1999 in the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. He spent many years in India serving the Lord. During those years he not only served as a Vicar to many parishes, but he also had the fortune to further enrich his spiritual journey by taking on various other positions of responsibility. To list a few, he had took on the role of administrator of Varkala Mar Thoma school in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), worked as a missionary at Varkala mission field, and also served as a spiritual evangelist in the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu.

In the year 2009, Rev. Benjamin George began his latest term in the US as the Vicar for St. Andrews Mar Thoma Church. He has also been assigned to share his pastoral care and duties for the Ebenezer MTC parish located in New Rochelle.

Our achen and his wife Suja Kochamma (Thalachira, Kottarakara) currently resides in Yonkers, NY along with their lovely children, daughter Krupa Ann Benjamin and son Madhu G. Benjamin.

May the Lord bless and further enlighten our Achen and his family throughout their ministerial duties here in the United States.
